Qualifications –

1. A  Harford County High School Senior and served as a tribe leader or counselor for the Harford County 4-H Camp.

2. Will be entering their freshmen year in college in the Fall of 2008.

3. Applicant will be required to complete an application that includes an essay on their participation at the Harford County 4-H Camp, the impact of their experience and how this scholarship will be beneficial in the achievement of the applicant’s career goals.

4. Letters of recommendation will be required.

5. Recipients of the two Harford County 4-H Clubs, Inc., $ 500 Scholarships will be recognized before the Livestock Sale at the Harford County Farm Fair.

Procedures –

 

1. Complete the application form. Attach separate sheets of paper if needed.

2. Write an essay not to exceed two double-spaced typed pages, on “How have you demonstrated leadership in the 4-H spirit through your participation and experiences at the Harford County 4-H Camp?”

3. Attach letters of recommendation from two of the following:

   1. School Principal, Instructor or Counselor

   2. County 4-H Agent or FFA Advisor

   3. 4-H Leader

   4. Elected County or State Official

   5. Religious Minister or Church Youth Advisor                                           

4. Attach copies of High School transcripts or any other relevant information pertaining to education.

5. Applications must be typed.

6. Completed applications and recommendations mailed to -

7. Deadline for application and recommendations receipt is July 1, 2008. 

8. Proof of enrollment in an accredited college or university must be sent to Harford County 4-H Clubs, Inc., by September 1, 2008.
