


WHAT IS THE HARFORD
COUNTY 4-H CAMP AT THE
ROCKS?
The Facility has
been at Cherry Hill
Road, north of Forest
Hill, Maryland, since
1925. The camp is owned
and operated by Harford
County 4-H Clubs, Inc.,
which is a non-profit
organization that is
recognized by the IRS as
tax exempt. The
volunteer, 15 member
Board of Directors
operates and maintains
the camp.
HOW BIG IS THE CAMP?
The camp is
situated on a 187-acre
tree farm that is
adjacent to the Rocks
State Park and the Deer
Creek runs through the
camp.
WHO USES THE CAMP AND
FACILITIES?
The camp is rented to
4-H and Non-4-H groups
from April to October
yearly. The groups use
the overnight
dormitories and dining
hall as well as other
buildings around the
camp. The camp is rented
by the day to groups for
meetings, parties,
reunions, etc.
HOW OLD IS THE CAMP?
Since the camp buildings
have been in use since
1925 and the area is
rustic, all facilities
are not handicap
accessible. Please visit
the camp before your
stay to assess any
accessible needs that
you may require before
you arrive.
